Send: Customers can send handwritten or typed messages,

top of the first page and sends the message to a dedicated access
number. The Celery® system instantly converts
and sends the message by email.
Receive: When a customer signs up for Celery®, they are
provided with a custom email address (example: lindajones@
mycelery.com). Customers use this email address to
receive messages - including image and document attachments
from anyone - anywhere in the world - including service people
over seas. Received messages are automatically printed on the
Celery Printing System.

How do I send a Celery message?
At
the top of the first page of the message, in large, capital block
letters, simply write the first names (separated by commas) of those
from your Celery address book whom you wish to receive it. Place your
message pages in your Celery machine, press the B button, and then the
C button. Your message pages are then scanned, sent to the Celery
server, and routed and delivered to each addressee.

Do I need any special equipment to set up my Celery?
All
you need is a phone line and a Celery package. If you already have a
fax machine, you can buy our service and utilize your existing device.

Do I need a broadband, cable, or dial-up Internet connection?
No. All you need is a single existing phone line.

No.
Celery is not a computer, and is not vulnerable to computer viruses.
Celery service enables customers to receive originally-infected
messages without harm to their machine. By this token, Celery can never

Yes.
To keep Celery customers spam-free, we utilize our own filtering
procedures, as well as several commercial spam-filtering systems.

What types of documents can I send with Celery?
With
Celery, you can send handwritten letters, photos, newspaper clippings,
index cards, and the like--anything flat and flexible enough to pass
through the Celery scanner. These kinds of items are best scanned when
taped to an 8.5" by 11" piece of copier paper.

What type of paper should I use with my Celery?
We
recommend that you use standard "copier" paper found at most office
stores, pharmacies, and grocery stores. If you want to use
photo-quality paper to print digital images, the sender should let you
know in advance to put photo paper in the device.

Celery Buddy is the Celery customer's trusted helper, usually the
person who buys Celery for a loved one as a gift. The Buddy typically
helps with Celery setup, and adds e-mail entries to the customer's
address book through the Celery web site.

Can my Celery print size be adjusted (larger or smaller)?
Yes.
Your Celery Buddy can change your Celery print size from our website.

How many pages can I send and receive with my Celery subscription?
Monthly
Celery subscriptions last 1 month, or 100 sent-and-received pages,
whichever comes first. Renewal subscriptions activate a new 1-month or
100-page service cycle.
Annual Celery subscriptions last 12 months,
or 1200 sent-and-received pages, whichever comes first. Renewal
subscriptions activate a new 12-month or 1200-page service cycle. Very
few customers should require more than the 1200 page allowance in one
year.

How many pages can I send or receive in one Celery message?
Sent
and received pages are not limited per message. However, messages
transmit most efficiently at 6 or fewer pages per message.

Can I purchase more pages if I exhaust my Celery page allowance?
Yes.
A Celery subscriber is notified when the balance of his or her
allowance falls below 20 pages if billed monthly or 100 pages if billed
annualy. At that time, the subscriber may choose to purchase another
batch of 100 sent-and-received pages if billed monthly or 1200
sent-and-received pages if billed annually. Very few users require more
than 1200 pages in one year

Where can I get Celery ink and paper supplies?
You
can order ink cartridges from Celery at competitive prices. Call 1(866)
MY-CELERY to place an order for shipment. Otherwise, you can purchase
ink for your Celery at most office supply stores. You also can find
standard "copier" and ink-jet photo paper at office supply stores, as
well as at many pharmacies and grocery stores.

Customers
typically setup Celery in their homes and workplaces. Celery can be
installed anywhere it can be connected to an existing phone line. We
currently serve the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada with plans to

How do I send a message to someone not entered in my Celery address book?
To
send a message to anyone absent from your address book, just write his
or her first name (as you would with any other Celery addressee)
followed with the associated e-mail address in brackets. The new name
and address will automatically be added to your Celery address book for
future messaging. Otherwise, your Celery Buddy can add it to your
address book online, or you can call 1(866) MY-CELERY and ask a Celery
Support person to add entries to your address book over the phone.

How do I receive an email message with my Celery?
Celery
utilizes your existing phone line and calls to let you know when you
are about to receive a message. You simply answer your phone, listen to
the Celery voice recording, and hang up your handset once our server
has connected to your Celery machine. Your message is then delivered
and immediately printed.

What types of documents can Celery receive?
Celery
can receive and print any text, rich text, or html-based e-mail
messages, and any JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIFF or PDF e-mail attachments. These
are the most prevalent e-mail and digital imaging formats. Ultimately,
Celery will handle a wide variety of popular software formats, such as
those associated with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents.
Celery can also be used as a traditional fax machine.

How quickly can my Celery receive email messages?
Email
messages are delivered to Celery customers as soon as they reach the
Celery server. As with any email correspondence, message length and
attached documents can directly affect delivery time. Simple text
messages may arrive almost instantaneously, while image-laden messages
require more transmission time.

Can my Celery receive messages when I am away from home?
IF YOU USE AN ANSWERING MACHINE or DEDICATED PHONE LINE:
Yes.
If you have an answering machine or a Celery-dedicated phone line, then
your machine will receive your message while you are out.
IF YOU USE VOICE MAIL SERVICES:
No.
If you use voice mail services through your phone company, Celery
leaves a voice message to let you know that your email is being held
for delivery. To retrieve your messages, just let us know that you are
home. You can do this one of two ways: call 1-866-MY-CELERY
(1-866-692-3537) and choose option six, or send a message. Celery will
then immediately deliver your message(s).
IF YOU DO NOT USE VOICEMAIL, an ANSWERING MACHINE, or A DEDICATED LINE:
No.
If you do not have an answering machine, voice mail or dedicated line,
you must answer your phone in order to receive Celery messages. Celery
will try to reach you at regular intervals until you answer the call.

Will Celery hold my messages when I am on vacation?
Yes.
Please call 1(866) MY-CELERY to let us know when you'll be away,
and--like the post office or the newspaper--we'll hang on to all of
your messages until you return from your trip.

customer is given a unique Celery e-mail address. You can send e-mail
to a Celery customer just as you would to any other e-mail address.

What is the largest message I can send to a Celery?
Emails
bound for Celery accounts are limited to 10 megabytes including all
attachments. If bob@yahoo.com sends mom@mycelery.com a 12 megabyte
photo, bob will receive a notice back that he must reduce the size of
his message and resend.
